Senior Account Manager – EMEA, Specialty Polymers | Based in Spain
The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for driving profitable growth of the Polyolefin portfolio, with a primary focus on Ethylene Acrylic Acid (EAA) and Ionomers across Europe.

We are currently seeking a Senior Account Manager – EMEA to join the team, based in Spain, with a strategic focus on expanding the Polyolefin portfolio, particularly Ethylene Acrylic Acid (EAA) and Ionomers, across Europe.
This is a high-impact role at the crossroads of sales, innovation, and strategic partnerships, offering the opportunity to manage key customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, and represent the customer voice in shaping product strategy. As part of a collaborative, international environment, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, value-added solutions to the flexible and rigid packaging markets.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Growth
- Manage and expand key accounts across Europe, building long-term partnerships and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement annual account plans aligned with business strategy and value-creation objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in flexible and rigid packaging markets.
- Prepare annual sales plans by product range (volume and margin) and deliver against targets.
- Continuously update sales forecasts, anticipating and adapting to market changes.
Customer Relationship & Market Intelligence
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, distributors, and industry influencers.
- Analyze customers’ businesses, needs, and applications to deliver tailored solutions.
- Resolve customer challenges proactively, converting them into growth opportunities.
- Share competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer insights internally to support strategic decision-making.
Strategic Contribution
- Represent the customer’s perspective in internal discussions, influencing product positioning, strategy, and marketing plans.
- Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Technical Service, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to deliver high value-added solutions.
- Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and supporting onboarding of new team members.
- Provide input into business reviews and strategic planning processes.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Execute tactical and operational plans as defined by management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Uphold Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards, reporting incidents and suggesting improvements.
- Provide backup support during organizational needs.
Education & Experience Requirements
- University degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the plastics/packaging industry, ideally within Specialty Polyolefins (EAA, Ionomers, or related applications).
- At least 5 years’ experience managing large and complex accounts.
- Proven success in flexible packaging; experience in rigid packaging is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required; additional European languages are highly valued.
- Demonstrated track record in European markets with willingness to travel extensively (50–60%).
