At Altorecruit, we are proud to support a leading international manufacturer in their search for a highly skilled and strategic EMEA Quality Assurance Manager. This role is based in BARCELONA and will be instrumental in aligning and executing the QA vision across multiple production sites in Europe. The person ca be based in Barcelona but need to go to Girona Headquarter.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the EMEA Managing Director, the QA Manager will lead the quality strategy, systems, and assurance standards across all EMEA operations. The role will involve close coordination with production sites, cross-functional departments, and key stakeholders both internally and externally. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical depth, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Location: Barcelona and Girona, Spain

Travel: Frequent travel across the EU and monthly visits to Israel and Bulgaria are required

Reporting line: Direct report to EMEA Managing Director

Team: Matrix management across several European sites

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the EMEA Quality Assurance strategy, including performance measures, KPIs, and continuous improvement goals
• Manage quality engineers across EMEA locations, ensuring harmonization of quality processes and procedures
• Lead the investigation and resolution of quality incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Act as main point of contact for quality matters with clients and suppliers
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure quality alignment
• Guarantee full compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee certification processes (ISO and others)
• Lead certification and audit processes with external bodies and laboratories
• Promote Operational Excellence through lean quality processes and continuous improvement practices
• Maintain fluent communication and reporting with US Headquarters

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or Industrial Management
• Minimum 7 years of managerial experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in the plastics industry and extrusion or injection processes
• Strong understanding of the mechanical behavior of extruded plastic materials
• Familiarity with color management, spectrophotometry, and quality standards
• Customer-facing experience and the ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders across international teams
• Strong command of ISO standards and regulatory frameworks
• High proficiency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus
• Skilled in ERP/MES systems and advanced Excel/statistical tools
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an advantage
