We are currently supporting a leading international technical polymers distributor in the search for a Technical Application Engineer to strengthen their team in Barcelona.

The Technical Application Engineer will provide high-level technical support to customers in the injection moulding sector, acting as a technical advisor for product selection, processing optimization and troubleshooting.

This is a client-facing, consultative engineering role, working closely with the sales team and R&D departments of both the company and its customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on high-performance thermoplastics and polymer solutions for injection moulding applications

• Visit and support customers throughout France and other European regions

• Collaborate with the sales team to translate client needs into tailored technical solutions

• Advise on material selection, processing conditions, and mould design improvements

• Conduct technical training and presentations for clients and internal teams

• Troubleshoot processing or performance issues and provide practical solutions

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on polymer trends, product portfolio and industry standards

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar

• Proven experience in technical support or application engineering within thermoplastics or polymer-related industries

• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and polymers

• Fluent in Spanish, English & French.

• Comfortable in a client-facing technical role with travel across assigned territories

• Strong communication, analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset
