It’s an exciting time to join the Pharma Team of our client! Covering a broad range of raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry, our client is now seeking to strengthen their distribution activities in APIs and synthesis ingredients.

In the API and Synthesis team, you’ll be part of a dynamic and fast-growing segment, contributing significantly to the development and manufacture of medicines as a supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients and synthesis components. As Business Development Manager (BDM) API and Synthesis, you will independently manage and develop your sales territory, nurturing the existing customer base while driving new business growth. You will serve as the direct point of contact for customers and will be supported by the global API and Synthesis team as well as technical experts. Main Responsibilities

• Support and further development of the active pharmaceutical ingredient business with existing customers
• Expand the customer base for APIs and synthesis ingredients across South East Europe (SEE) and strengthen business relationships
• Identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities within the pharmaceutical portfolio
• Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities in customer, product, and application markets
• Maintain reports and documentation in the CRM system (Salesforce); prepare and submit offers
• Collaborate closely with country Sales Managers
• Attend European trade fairs and commit to regular travel

Skills and Requirements

• Degree in business, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or technology
• Strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry and willingness to delve into the specifics of API and synthesis ingredient distribution
• Ability to identify customer needs and foster long-term client relationships
• Strategic, goal-oriented work approach with strong prioritization skills
• A collaborative spirit and open communication style
• High willingness to travel across SEE
• Fluent in written and spoken English
