Application Development Engineer (ADE) – Maghreb

Our client is a global distributor and compounding specialist in the plastics industry, offering a

comprehensive portfolio of high-performance thermoplastics. They collaborate with leading

Key Responsibilities:

Operating within the Maghreb region, you will:

• Identify, develop, and secure new technical project opportunities that are profitable and

sustainable.

• Focus on strategic customers (OEMs, Converters, Tier 1) in alignment with our client’s

strategy.

• Build and strengthen relationships with key customers to understand their needs and

convert them into viable projects.

• Provide expert technical support, including material recommendations, product selection,

approvals, risk management, and troubleshooting of thermoplastic processing at customer

sites.

• Assist internal and field sales teams with technical insights and guidance.

• Promote our client’s full product portfolio to plastic processors, designers, engineers, and

OEMs.

• Support the introduction of new products to customers.

• Investigate and resolve product quality complaints.

• Maintain up-to-date customer data and record interactions using the CRM system.

• Utilize and update the Business Pipeline tool to track all technical projects.

• Take responsibility for specific market sectors and collaborate with the sales team to

maximize opportunities.

• Conduct internal training sessions for the sales department as needed.

• Participate in technical exchange meetings with producers.

• Work closely with the Business Management and TSAD teams to follow up on material and

application developments.

• Analyze and interpret Moldex®, Moldflow®, and ANSYS® FEA reports, providing insights to

customers.

• Gather market intelligence and competitor insights as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• Degree in Polymer Engineering or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of the plastics industry.

• Project management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and SAP is a plus.

Experience:

• In-depth technical expertise in various polymer types and their applications.

• Strong understanding of plastics processing, tool design, and application development.

• At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.

• Strong organizational and planning abilities.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

• Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the Maghreb region and occasionally to Europe.
