Sales Director Asia-Pacific (m/f/d)
Key responsibilities
• Provide professional and disciplinary leadership and direction to the sales team to
achieve set objectives. This includes leading and coaching the team to develop customer
accounts and individual projects and ensuring that tasks are completed and actions are
taken.
• Develop a sales strategy with a clear focus on product, price, place, and promotion for
Asia Pacific together with the business units in Germany
• Systematically develop the sales region by contributing to the definition and
implementation of the company's sales strategy in order to maintain a sustainable order
intake
• Understand customer’s needs, translate them into technical requirements and discuss
them with the supplying business units, prepare technical proposals and build sales
prices, explain proposals to the customer in a convincing manner, negotiate sales
contracts and close deals.
• Identify and target new and existing customers, developing and maintaining a strong and
long-term relationship.
• Maintain a close relationship with the technical and sales teams in our German business
units.
• Represent Reifenhäuser at exhibitions and technical conferences, conduct presentations
• Work with the Service, Spare Parts and Modification Team Leaders to develop and
maintain a comprehensive customer-focused service strategy to support sales activities.
Requirements
• Sales experience in the plastics industry, in plastics machinery or capital goods
(preferably in extrusion-related industries, e.g. film /sheet / pipe / profile extrusion)
• Demonstrated strong sales talent, excellent communication skills and the ability to
communicate with customers at all levels
• Preferably leadership experience or a strong proven leadership potential
• Manage sales activities through own sales force and/or agents, actively pursue and
manage A/B/C accounts - be a coach and a player at the same time
• Entrepreneurial drive, strategic focus and willingness to build a sustainable long-term
business with us
• Proven time management and multi-tasking skills, ability to work both individually and as
part of a team in an international environment
• Willingness to travel frequently in the Asia-Pacific region and to our HQ in Germany as
required
